We visited Vietnam from April the 3. to May the 3. 2019.
We stayed exactly 1 month in the country.
Vietnam is a hot country with a wet season and a dry
season.
To reach Vietnam, we took a flight from Bangkok to Ho
Chi Minh ville.
Ho Chi Minh ville, previously called Saïgon, is
located in south Vietnam. We stayed around three days in the city to visit.
We took a tour to visit the tunnel of Cu Chi. These
tunnels were digged and used by the Vietmin fighters during the Vietnam war.
They built traps, hiding places and very long tunnels to surprise their
enemies.
After, we went to the Mekong delta in the town of Vinh
Long with a sleeping bus. Here, we visited the river and his branches (see my
other post : Le Delta des neuf dragons).
When we finished visiting the Mekong delta, we headed
to the old and historic town of Hoi An. We visited a few historical
constructions like an old Chinese house and a beautiful Japanese bridge. In
this town, we ate at the market as well as the delicious street food, like in
the other cities.
Close to Hoi An, there is the sea. With rental bikes,
we went to the beach to swim. For her birthday, my sister Aïnoa chose to take a
paragliding flight with me. It was a great experience! Thank You !!
After this, we were in other sites like the Imperial
city of Hué and the Long Ah bay (its just down of the famous Ah Long bay) with its
karstic rocks.
Around one week before travelling to Lao, we did a two
days trip in the mountains with a car and a local driver. The landscapes were
very impressive and beautiful. The photos speak for themselves:
In Vietnam, there are few animals and we didn’t see any.
But there is a lot of nice birds in the houses because the people like there
songs.
I didn’t like to see the birds in cages.
Neither did I like the pollution in a lot of cities
and in the nature. My favourite were the nice people and the beautiful
landscapes !!
